Hello Everyone! How are things? Things here are going by pretty fast. Everyday Elder Macnab and I are preparing to teach or teaching an "investigator". Cool experience with that. One of the investigators would not pray. She was having a hard time talking with someone she couldn't see. I was thinking what I could do when I went to the devotional on Tuesday starring Elder Holland! His talk was amazing and from it I received an answer on what I needed to do.
Hard to imagine a month has already passed by. Can not describe how much I want to hit the field right now. The problem with that is I still have a lot to learn about teaching. Spanish is coming a long great and two days ago I spoke about two sentences in english :)
Here at the MTC one thing I started to do is set goals. My goals for the week are to read from El Libro de Mormon every night out loud, using the preterite (past) tense more during my speaking, and gain more charity and love. For the charity and love part I have been praying for opportunities to serve other people and of course the Lord answered. On Tuesday I was going to TALL which is a computer lab where we use language when I saw a teacher in the middle just lay down the floor. It took me a few seconds to recognize that she had passed out. By the time I had gotten to her she was starting to sit up. Turns out that she hadn't eaten anything for breakfast and her blood sugar was out of whack. So I set her up in the chair, got someone to buy her a granola bar, and then another teacher can took over.
The awesome things about goals is that they focus you in a direction and the Lord is able to bless you way more.
So happy to hear Romney is back in the lead. How is Bishop Ludlow? How is Fallon? Hope all is well. While in the temple today I saw Seth and Geran and was prompted to do some genealogy work when I got home. Aunt Sue and Grandma have been emailing me so that is always cool. How is Uncle Art doing? How is Emma doing? Please be sure to remind her that I love her, but do it in a harsh way like kicking her when she is sleeping. JK! Well write back soon! I would love a mini six pack of Diet Dew.
Love,
Elder Aaron Thomas
