March 2,2010
Well, it has been a month and 1 day that Aaron has entered into the MTC.  The letters he has written to us have been wonderful and so spiritual.  He has been a boy/man of few words but the letters are so full of substance that they are not long but so wonderful to read.  I know what you are thinking, "Aaron, few words"?  But when it comes to him expressing how he truly feels underneath the sarcasm and odd humor that most people know him to have, he is a very spiritual, caring and honest young man.
The first week he was at the MTC we received a hand written letter.  I sure do like looking in the mail box and seeing those wonderful letters.  He expressed his love for all of us and made it a point to say something to each of us including his Brother n Law, David.    He met his new companion, Elder Mancab and he said they got along instantly.   They are together teaching "investigators" only in spanish and at times he says he has headaches at the end of the day with just speaking spanish.  But he is adjusting and he also said that he was told that he was one of the better spanish speaking missionaries in there.  4 years of spanish in HS paid off, huh?
In his own words, "The food here is okay"  I can picture him with a somber face saying that cause Aaron has always been a picky eater but a few years back he got alot better but he definitely had a long way to go.  This mission will sure help him with that, lol!
When he first got to the MTC he said he got lost 6 times.  I so started laughing then I felt bad cause if we would have watched the videos we were instructed to view, he probably would have know where to go.  Oooops :)  Again, in his own words, "But soon I will be a spiritual ninja at the MTC".
I am going to write more when we get our next letter.  We did get an email today and it had 3 lines.
"Dad, thanks for the updates, I am writing you a letter today, we got all our shots".  I guess he likes the snail mail thing.   I do know that he catches his flight to Buenos Aries, Argentina on April 2 and he can call home then as well as on Mother's Day.  We are sooooooooo looking forward to that.
