March 16, 2012
Dear Family,
Why hello there family!  Thanks for the galletas (cookies), garments, but most specifically for Emma's note.  I was starting to forget what shoving someone out of the bathroom so I could use was like :)  Miss you all incredibly, but I wouldn't want to be any other place in the world right now.  A couple of more weeks and then I get to call you guys.
Funny story about calling family, last week a mass delay went out for all Visa's going to Argentina and Mexico.  What the MTC was supposed to do was give a 5 minute call slip (a slip of paper for Elders so they can call home and tell their families about the delay)  to every Elder leaving next week.    What they actually did was give a 5 call slip to every person going to Argentina.  So after I received this call slip I ran back to the apartment to get dressed so I could go call you guys.  Elder MacNab hadn't got his so we decided  to go back and pick one up for him at the Travel Office.  When we got there we soon found out that I wasn't supposed to have a call slip.  I wanted to walk out and use it right there, but something just testified that was the wrong thing to do.  So I ended up giving the slip back and not calling the family.  Sorry about that, but one of the first things about becoming Christ like is the need to follow his example constantly.
Learning Spanish is going pretty good.  Yesterday I only spoke about six words of English.  I am no where near fluent, but it is a blessing to see how much it helps.  My weekly goals is to learn the present subjective verbs.  Very weird in its usage.
Es importante que leq el Libro de Mormon.  Elder Benning said that I spoke Spanish in my sleep a couple of days ago so that is good.
This week I have been learning a lot on Christ like love.  One aspect is love at all times.  It is super easy to love someone they are benefiting you, but it is a whole other ball game when you would like nothing more than to drop kick the person.  Working with a companion can be pretty stressful at times, but that is where the Christ like love comes.  It is so perfect and pure that despite the other person driving you up a wall, you want nothing else but to help them.  Not perfect and needs work, but I am getting there.
So recently in gym Seth and I have been having Spanish/ Japanese conversations.  This fits the barest definition of a conversation because both of us don't really know what the other one is saying, but still fun anyways.  Most of the time I am playing volleyball in gym and the other day I even got a spike in.  Don't play 4 square that much anymore because I kind of become competitive and a jerk (gasp of shock!)
While I am writing this I just got this strange sense of deja-vu.  The weeks go by so fast.
How is the family?  Any cool movies been announced?  How is Romney doing?  Came a across a really cool scripture passage that I have been trying to figure out.
Moroni 7:19
Well love you all extremely and please write back soon!  God be with you all.....till we meet again :)

Love,
Elder Aaron Thomas
