'Ello Family,
Hope Mom and Emma enjoy the Birthday.  Sorry I couldn't get you all something cooler, but not very many exciting things to buy at the MTC.  Yesterday I was walking out of the store I ran into a familiar face.  Andrew Byrd from Battle Mountain.  He is taller then me now and his voice is way deep (ain't puberty grand!)  He is going to Mexico and will be here for another 10 weeks so I hope to see him again.
This week I got to be a Host, ( a person who helps a new missionary gets all his new stuff and such)  I wonder if I had that look on my face when I first got into the MTC, because that would have been funny.  The look is one of excitement, need to throw up,nervous and just ready to go.  I get to be a host next week too.  Only next week David Archuleta is showing up.  He is actually going to be living in our building.  Val definitely needs to hear about this one. :)
Thanks again for the galletas (cookies) y garments.  Tell Emma I say Hello and that she should enjoy her precious bathroom while she can, for when I come back it shall be mine once more.  Just met up with Elder Elkins getting lunch.  He is doing fine and glad to hear he is still pro at that funny noise he does, ha ha.  Elder Price is doing really well too.  Got a pleasant surprise from Sister Price (Tracy).  She is a gangstas say on the streets of Fallon ," To legit to quit".  I feel lucky that I get to see 2/3 of my best "dude" friends everyday, really is a blessing.  Now if you could tell Wood to hurry up and grow up that would be nice.  Any news on him yet?
On terms of the my VISA, as of now I am still leaving on the 2nd but if I don't receive my travel plans I may be stuck here for another week.  It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world but I am really excited to hit the field.  Really seeing the blessing of the gift of tongues during lessons and with discussing just with Elder Macnab.
I just got my travel plans!!!
So I will have an hour and half layover in Georgia around 8pm.  When I call it will be around that time.  Lots of info to go over here.
Thanks Dad for sending the conversion story.  I received this right before I went into a lesson and it brought the spirit so strong.  I am happy to say all my lessons have been blessed with the Spirit present.  The trick is providing the information needed (only possible by listening to the small promptings.) and to get the investigator to realize they are feeling the Holy Ghost.  This is what the missionaries did for Dad and that is beyond amazing.
Okay and now the big news.  I have been picked to be in the General Conference Saturday session Choir!  I will be on TV and everything.  I am really excited for the chance to communicate my testimony to all the world before I have the opportunity to share it with those in Argentina.
Well much love family.  Happy B-Day to Mom y Emma.  Say hello to Costen for me and please keep Emma away from drinking out of the toilet again.
(He drew a picture of a toilet and a person eyeing it.  We are assuming that was Emma)  :)
Love,
Elder Aaron Thomas
