Doing great and stilled unrobbed! ;D I am trying to find a place to hook my camera up but the thing is you need to be careful down here. We use cyber cafe and they are loaded with viruses so I don´t want to ruin all the photos I have for you in my camera. I am in a new area so I am definately going to be keeping my eye out.

My new area is called Pilar and it is even bigger than my last area. We are going to have to ride bicycles a lot down here. My new companion is from El Salvador and he is called Elder Vargas. He is pretty small but super funny. I just got here today so I am excited to get to work.

I am really happy to see Emma is doing fine. Just make sure that she doesn´t ruin the bathroom or anything :D Hope you took photos of Melis and David outside the temple. those are the bomb. Our temple is going to be opening up down here in 3 months. We might be singing for the opening, but I don´t know for now it is only a rumor.

So with Eliana her baptism is next week, but now I am not in the area. That is okay I am going to find baptisms over in Pilar now. I love reading the Book of Mormon everyday. Right now I am in Alma 57 and these chapters are a perfect example of planning. Turns out that our mission here is differant than just going and touching doors and talking to people in the streets, we work witht the members so they can help their friends be baptize. The president said out of a 1000  only 60 with be baptized, but when we work with the ward for lessons with members and references out of a 1000, 600 of them will be baptized. Turns out everything in the church is built to help the members be missionaries. The activities can be a chance to invite a friend or a menos activo. I never realized this before.

So Matt made it home huh? He definately had my sense of humor. So I have a lot of photos to show you, just need to find a computer to send them. Hopefully soon.

I love you Mom. Keep reading the Book of Mormon and praying with the family. Please help Melis start her family out strong. There are so many things out to destroy the family.  I was reading in 2 Nephi 32:9. I know that prayer is a powerful tool to help any family and only through that can families live righteously.

Much love,
Elder Aaron Thomas

  1. Thank you!! He is doing great! Member participation is a big thing. I know that Derek relied on it while he was in Nicaragua.
